Shelby B. Parks was born and raised in Robertson County, Tennessee, and is proud to now serve clients in Clarksville and throughout Middle Tennessee as an attorney with Dahl Family Law.

Shelby earned her undergraduate degree magna cum laude from the University of Tennessee at Martin as a member of their accelerated Legal Studies program. While there, she founded and served as President of the UT Martin Legal Society, represented her fellow students in the Student Government Association, and was selected to participate in the Tennessee Legislative Internship Program, spending a semester working on Capitol Hill.

Shelby went on to obtain her Juris Doctor from the University of Tennessee College of Law, with a concentration in Business Transactions. During law school, she served on the Tennessee Journal of Race, Gender & Social Justice, was a member of Law Women and the Christian Legal Society, and gained hands-on experience serving clients through the College of Law’s Legal Clinic. Her work in the Wills Clinic earned her the Charles H. Miller Excellence in Civil Advocacy Award.

Shelby began her legal career as a law clerk with Batson Nolan PLC and joined their firm as an associate attorney following law school. There, she gained experience representing clients in estate planning, probate, conservatorships, business matters, and property law. She joined Dahl Family Law in 2026, where her practice focuses primarily on family law, in conjunction with estate planning and probate. Shelby understands that family law matters often arise during some of the most personal and consequential seasons of a client’s life, and she strives to approach each case with compassion, careful attention, and practical advocacy tailored to the individual client and family.

Outside of the office, Shelby’s favorite role is being a wife and mom. She and her husband, Dylan, met while attending UT Martin and now live in Robertson County with their son, Everett. Faith and family are central to Shelby’s life, and when she is not practicing law, she enjoys spending time with the people she loves, making memories with Everett, and cheering on the Tennessee Volunteers.
